Samawati Collective is a multi-dimensional creative and civic space; part performing arts home, part research lab, and part technology sandbox. We exist at the intersection of Narrative building, creativity, and artificial intelligence, and community shaping narratives with both heart and evidence.
We are a sanctuary for those who dare to express their truth: poets, filmmakers, civic storytellers, researchers, and technologists who believe that culture and democracy are inseparable.
Samawati — from Swahili, meaning "blue—a colour that symbolizes freedom and bright futures." A space above the ordinary, where the unconventional finds its home and every voice discovers its power.

At Samawati, we are building one of Africa's first spaces dedicated to the ethical use of AI—not for its own sake, but as a tool for storytellers, researchers, and justice advocates to shift the focus from corporate profit to communal craft that are sustainable.
